Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all CGS-SOS Members!

We are excited to announce that the 2025 CGS-SOS Graduate Student Competition will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd at Mastro’s Ristorante Italiano. This prestigious event will feature representatives from the following Southern Ontario universities: McMaster, Metropolitan, Toronto, Waterloo, Western and York.

Each university representative will deliver an oral presentation of up to 12 minutes, followed by a five-minute question-and-answer period. A distinguished panel of judges from academia and industry will evaluate the presentations.

Cash prizes will be awarded as follows:

• First-place presenter: $1000

• Second-place presenter: $500
