Abstract:

This presentation will focus on non-destructive evaluation for new and existing concrete foundations. We will explore how NDT/NDE can help engineers in the quality control/quality assurance of new foundations, as well as in the assessment of existing concrete foundations and footings. Non-Destructive Evaluation has been widely used for the quality control and quality assurance of deep foundations. However, the use of NDE methods can be extended to other types of foundations such as mass foundations, and concrete footings.
