Women in CGS

The Women in Canadian Geotechnical Society South Ontario section warmly welcomes women and engineers of all ages and levels of involvement in geotechnical engineering to participate in our events.

Our gatherings feature talks by seasoned engineers, offering valuable insights and sharing lessons learned from their experiences. Additionally, we host sessions focused on addressing challenges commonly encountered in the field and discussing effective strategies for overcoming them.

Geotechnical engineering is a fascinating discipline that underpins numerous projects across Ontario, ranging from residential developments to large-scale infrastructure such as mines, dams, and transportation networks. It plays a vital role in enhancing public services and shaping our built environment.

Our aim is to foster the growth of this profession and empower those within it to better serve the public while achieving a fulfilling career and improved work-life balance. We are committed to inclusivity and are open to accommodating new speakers and providing training based on the needs identified by our members. Join us and become part of a vibrant community of geotechnical engineers dedicated to advancing the field and supporting one another.
